Several questions surrounding the issue would have received a judicial interpretation if the ruling was pronounced. The Congress seemingly wanted a delay in the verdict to play it safe ahead of the CWG and Obama visit.
However, now the point is whatever the verdict is will its effect be as hard as it would have been two decades ago? Most of the observers feel it won’t be so immense and intense. They feel that the nation has moved forward from the mindset during the nineties.
Everyone is looking at peace and development instead of dividing themselves along religion and caste. Political parties too are in no mood to take up any risks following a polarization. However, some are still expected to play dirty politics to secure vote banks. But everything will ultimately depend upon how the citizens react to the verdict.
